Job Description
This is a secretarial position that requires providing administrative support to the school district. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Provide secretarial services, including organizing office activities and maintaining an orderly work area.
- Uphold board policies and follow administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Promote effective communications and assistance, using problem-solving techniques to address questions and concerns.
- Manage phone calls, take messages, and schedule appointments as directed.
- Use a computer to prepare and process information, verifying accuracy as needed.
- Help coordinate school activities, including open houses, parent/teacher conferences, and staff in-service training.
- Administer medications and render basic first aid when necessary.
- Monitor students sent to the office for illness or discipline reasons.
- Compose and type routine correspondence, memos, and forms.
- Maintain office transaction records, including receipts and contributions.
- Process mail and faxes, ensuring confidentiality and personal privacy.
