What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate - Food Pantry position at Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange?
GRACE is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Food Pantry, in a part time, seasonal capacity. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and distribution of pantry items.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Storing: Handle incoming food pantry items, inspect them, and store them properly.
- Inventory Management: Keep the inventory organized and clean.
- Stock Replenishment: Restock pantry shopping areas throughout the day.
- Donation Collection: Collaborate with management to collect donations from vendors and local partners.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Professional Interaction: Exhibit professionalism in interactions with customers, volunteers, and employees.
- Staff Collaboration: Attend monthly meetings and work with staff to support GRACE's goals and activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; 6 months - 1 year related experience or training; and/or a combination of education and experience.
- Valid Texas Driver License with Vehicle Insurance listed as a driver
- Ability to push, pull, move, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods and work outdoors.
- Must be 21 years or older (insurance requirements for driving).
Other qualifications:
- Prior experience in a supermarket or food pantry is a plus!
- Food handler certification is a plus!
- Forklift certification is a plus!
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Pay: $16.00/hour; paid semi-monthly
Position reports directly to the Pantry Manager.
NOTE: This position is part-time, seasonal, and is expected to last through late August - early September 2025.
All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a reference checks, a criminal background check and motor vehicle report, drug screen and lift test.
