Summary: Responsibilities will include designing and maintaining robotic systems to ensure a downtime free performance in production, which includes planning and leading the developments, execution and completion of projects and start-up of new or modified automation equipment.
Provide Maintenance Technicians support in robotics and automation as well as training. Works with Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager and Supervisors for more efficient production, suggests and implements procedural changes. Assists with preventive Maintenance Programs or any other project assignments. Daily activities include but are not limited to completing daily repairs and/or projects as assigned. |

Minimum Qualifications · Minimum of 1 - 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environments developing and maintaining robotics and automation equipment · Preventive Maintenance Programs. · Project Management. · Associate Degree in Related Field (preferred). |

Essential Functions · Identifies problems and issues in robotic systems, communicating with engineers, specialists, or other staff to diagnose and understand issues. · Provide technical expertise and guidance to production for application, selection/specification, installation, operation and maintenance of robotics, automation equipment, and systems. · Planning, prioritizing and managing multiple work activities simultaneously. · Providing leadership to the robotics and automation aspects of the design, start up and operation of the assets and work in a team environment to support business objectives. · Troubleshoots and repairs or corrects problems, which may include repairs and revisions to hardware (disassembly and reassembly of robots and peripheral equipment) and software (investigation of programming code for mistakes). · Installs, programs, reprograms, and repairs/maintains robots and equipment such as controllers, end-of-arm tooling, and conveyors. · Uses tools, templates, microscopes, and fixtures to align, fit, or assembly components. · Uses tools such as electronic voltmeters and oscilloscopes to test the performance of robotic assemblies. Documents procedures and test results. · Evaluates the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems; reprograms, calibrates, or makes recommendations for enhancements to achieve maximum quantity and quality. · Performs preventive and curative maintenance on robotic systems and components. · Maintains service records for automated production systems and robotic equipment. · Inspects installation sites and installs robotic systems. · Mentors entry-level Maintenance Technicians to develop their technical skills. · Assists with repairs and troubleshooting for maintenance technicians. · Performs Safety checks (such as Lock out/Tag out). · Understand and adherers to Company policies and procedures. · Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement. · Keeps a neat and clean work zone (5S). · Performs other related duties and assignments as required. |
Physical Demands · Hands on which includes periodically bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, climbing ladders, moving and lifting heavy objects. · Stand or walk for up to 3/4 of the day. · Prolonged sitting at a desk and/or working on a computer · Lift objects up to 50 lbs. · Willing to adapt to changing plans and unscheduled events and irregular hours. · Willingness to work overtime. |
