Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Perform diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory work.
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
- Provide proper animal handling and restraint techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Skills
- Proficient in veterinary critical care practices.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and dental terminology.
- Experience with animal handling techniques for various species, including equine.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a compassionate approach to pet care.
