Job Summary
The Electrical Control Systems Specialist will install, maintain, diagnose, repair, remove, and adjust controls of instrumentation and electrical circuits. This role will also assist with other mechanical duties and maintain complex systems embodying electronic and electro-mechanical principles, including PLC's, HMI's, VFD's, motors, and servos.
Responsibilities
- Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices
- Read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine how to assemble parts, machines, and other equipment
- Use specialized instruments to measure parts and ensure they meet specifications
- Test the performance of electromechanical assemblies
- Install electronic components using soldering equipment and hand tools
- Operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment
- Understand and troubleshoot electrical control systems
- Be able to adjust programs and troubleshoot PLC based systems
- Maintain the areas, tools, and equipment in a clean and proper manner
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Electronic, Mechanical, or Instrumentation
- Certifications in Industrial Electronics or Telecommunications Electronics Preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a mechanical/maintenance and electro-mechanical role, or ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge
