What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiter position at Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center?
Grassroots has an opening for Recruiter, FT. This professional will act a point of contact for incoming applicants, conduct interviews and assist with processing of new hires. Work with the Senior Recruiter and agency managers to understand the recruitment needs. The Recruiter will help develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify the best candidates using job boards, to include social media platforms, campus connections, field organizations, and advanced sourcing techniques to support Grassroots’ hiring needs. This position will work 40 hours per week and fully onsite. Monday – Friday; 9:00am – 5:00pm schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Actively source candidates and review applicant resume; conduct phone screens to assess applicant experience, skills, ability, motivation, and overall interest.
- Utilize relevant online recruitment tools such as social media, LinkedIn searches, ad campaigns, networking, and email announcements appealing to potentially to job seekers.
- Present candidates meeting the minimum qualifications to the Senior Recruiter.
- Performs administrative functions to include collection and dissemination of candidate documentation.
- Maintain effective communication and with applicant job seekers including appropriate follow-up.
- Recommend potentially qualified candidates to appropriate managers for further review and potential scheduling by the Senior Recruiter.
- Always maintain fair and legal employment practices.
- Drive a positive candidate experience with the entire recruitment process.
- Effectively communicate candidate information relevant to internal management.
- Provide quality customer service to attempt to maintain customer retention.
- Handle and organize a constructive working relationship with customers, vendors, agencies, and other staff.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel data and agency records.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

- Maintain good working relationship with co-workers and contribute positively to group morale.
- Complete all administrative duties including time sheet.
- Interact with staff, clients, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ recruiting experience.
- Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
- Display of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality of records.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volume recruitment activities.
- Strong working knowledge with a company-wide recruitment database system, internet, HRIS system, MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
Work Conditions:
- On site position in an office setting.
- Flexible work schedule is required.
- Overnight travel is not required.
