Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Logistics Coordinator to facilitate incoming and outgoing shipments of fabricated steel products, inventory control and management, purchasing, and general support to the sales and production teams. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and committed to providing outstanding customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
Job Duties
- Responsible for all duties associated with order shipments including: scheduling shipments with FTL and LTL carriers, tracking shipments, freight claim resolution, job site delivery coordination, and creation of Bills of Lading and other shipping paperwork
- Coordination of inter-company material transfers between 5 company locations
- Inbound freight management of stock and project specific products
- Purchasing of standard stock and miscellaneous parts used on repetitive basis
- Inventory adjustments in computer system
- Packaging and shipping via UPS
Essential Skills
- Excellent customer service
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proficient in web-based applications
- Ability to multi-task and work with interruptions
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
