Technical Sales Representative – Office Based

We are seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join our sales team in our Northern California office. Working with a wide array of new and existing customers in B2B markets, you will build on existing customer relationships and create new accounts using a consultative sales approach, based upon learned product knowledge and technical details. With the support of our engineering and fabrication teams, you will learn to service customer needs to precise specifications and dimensions.

What You Will Do:

• Deliver exceptional customer service to existing and new customers with each interaction
• Develop and maintain continuing customer relationships via email and phone calls
• Analyze customer needs through a consultative sales approach
• Review technical drawings and project specifications
• Prepare and present estimates and quotations for product solutions to customers
• Coordinate fabrication details and requirements to facilitate production of products
• Manage projects from receipt of request through delivery of product

Minimum Qualifications:

• Strong math skills, including ability to do calculations quickly and efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Congenial and professional interpersonal skills
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook as well as web-based software
• Developed multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous sales or other experience in the construction industry
• Previous experience reading construction drawings and other technical building documents
• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction sciences, engineering or similar preferred
