Position Overview:
This role will work closely with our Quality Assurance & Process Development Lead a long-time team member with deep expertise in vendor relationships and material standards. The Quality Assurance Coordinator will focus on streamlining, organizing, and executing quality assurance processes to support production and ensure that Gratz continues to deliver exceptional apparatuses.
This is a hands-on role that balances detailed quality inspections with process organization and team collaboration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to build on established practices while introducing new efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Vendor Quality Oversight
- Conduct visual and photographic inspections of incoming supplies, ensuring they meet Gratz’s standards.
- Collaborate with vendors alongside the Quality Lead to address quality issues and suggest improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of vendor quality performance, creating reports to guide procurement decisions.
2. Assist Station & Production Quality Assurance
- Help develop and execute quality inspection routines at production stations, ensuring thorough checks on approximately 50–100 apparatuses weekly.
- Use checklists and photographic evidence to document quality assessments consistently.
- Provide feedback to production teams based on inspection results to promote continuous improvement.
3. Organize & Document Quality Standards
- Collaborate with the Quality Lead and engineering teams to refine and maintain quality documentation, including CAD designs, tolerances, and specifications.
- Maintain a central repository of quality standards, ensuring all team members have access to the latest guidelines.
4. Foster Team Collaboration
- Work alongside the Quality Lead to develop training materials and workshops to educate the production team on quality standards and processes.
- Support the implementation of recognition programs to reward team members for exceptional quality practices.
- Act as a liaison between the Quality Lead and production teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment of goals.
5. Drive Long-Term Quality Strategy
- Assist in tracking and analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Help implement ERP-driven quality processes, ensuring alignment with procurement and production workflows.
- Support the Quality Lead in maintaining and improving vendor relationships to align with long-term quality goals.
