Primary Responsibilities :
The Lead Civil Design Engineer will oversee the technical accuracy and execution of project designs, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Key responsibilities include :
- Assigning and managing project tasks for design staff
- Overseeing project scope, timelines, and budgets to ensure alignment with objectives
- Guiding and mentoring junior engineers to support project completion
- Conducting detailed reviews of engineering plans, reports, and calculations
- Preparing and submitting documents for regulatory approvals, including municipal and environmental agencies
- Developing bid documents and technical specifications for projects
- Assisting in construction administration and project closeout tasks
- Collaborating with project managers, senior engineers, and leadership
- Occasionally attending project-related meetings, including site visits, regulatory discussions, and public hearings
