We’re seeking a strategic and high caliber Development Manager to lead our growing team of developers and drive the ongoing evolution of our proprietary systems—both for customers and internal team members.
Responsibilities
As Development Manager, you'll wear multiple hats—leader, strategist, translator, and technical expert. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions that meet business needs, improve user experiences, and scale with the company’s growth.
You will:
- Scope and lead development projects aligned with business priorities, budgets, and timelines.
- Write, review, and release production-level code in PHP and JavaScript as part of active development sprints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand challenges and translate their needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Champion the user experience—whether it's a customer interacting with our digital tools or an internal team member using our proprietary platform.
- Develop project roadmaps and manage timelines, resources, and quality standards using tools like Jira.
- Lead, mentor, and support a development team, ensuring the right mix of skills, support, and performance alignment.
- Maintain scalable, secure infrastructure using PHP 8.2, LAMP stack, and AWS services.
- Manage deployment workflows, Git repositories, and CI/CD processes to ensure delivery excellence.
- Establish and refine dev processes, QA procedures, and documentation standards.
- Report regularly to senior leadership, summarizing project progress, risks, and strategic recommendations.
Required Technical Experience
This role is hands-on. Candidates must have working knowledge of the following:
- PHP 8.2
- JavaScript and jQuery
- DataTables (JS Library)
- LAMP Stack
- AWS (EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, SES)
- RedHat Linux (or comparable Linux-based environments)
- Git repositories (GitHub, GitLab, etc.)
- Jira (or comparable project tracking tools)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FinTech, consumer lending, or highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and CI/CD
- Background in user-centric design or UX collaboration is a plus
- Previous experience managing in-house or proprietary systems
