Quality Inspector II

• Job Title: Quality Inspector II
• Location: 37th St. N. Wichita, KS 67219
• Duration: 12 Months (Highly extendable)
• Pay: $29/hr on W2 without benefits
• Shift: 1st shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications and company’s quality control system for compliance with legal requirements, and shipping and packing facilities for conformity to specified standards.
• Document inspection results accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate inspection results and status to management and Engineering as applicable.
• Generate ideas and suggestions on reducing inspection turnaround time.
• Examine company’s records to secure such information as size and weight of product and results of quality tests.
• Complete visual inspection
• Stamp mark of approval or rejection on product and write report of examinations.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years of manufacturing or quality experience preferred.
• Industry experience preferred.
• Specification interpretation competence required.
• Experience with mechanical and configuration hardware such as fasteners, brackets, wire forms, seals, connectors, required.
• Mechanical inspection skills including use of calipers, micrometers, etc. required.
• Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, internet research, and e-mail required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with little supervision required.
• Sense of urgency required.
• Ability to meet frequent short timeline goals and deadlines required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)
• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Preferred)
• Calipers: 2 years (Required)
• Micrometer: 1 year (Required)
• QA/QC: 2 years (Required)
