Gray Construction is seeking an Assistant Electrical Manager to support our Pre-Construction Services Department.

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional registration required.
Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications. Also, utilize programs for calculating loads and performing cost analysis.

- Researches, analyzes and calculates data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
- Assist in the estimating of MEP scopes of work for customer ROM budgets and design proposals.
- Aid in Value Engineering efforts internally and with MEP sub-contractors.
- Participates in estimating process for customer design proposal.
- Assist in the development of design criteria and RFP documents.
- Analyzes subcontractor proposals to confirm the criteria are being satisfied.
- Develop project specific bid forms in excel format.
- Assemble detailed bid analysis to compare multiple proposals through bid-leveling.
- Communicate effectively with sub-contractors.
- Participates in negotiations of contracts with subcontractors and vendors for various trades, ensuring that all phases of the work are encompassed and that a clear definition of work responsibility is defined.
- Reviews construction documents from subcontractors to confirm they comply with scope.
- Participates in awarding subcontracts.
- Coordinates design and engineering efforts.
- Draft Exhibit A, Scope of Work, sub-contract documents.
- Issues changes in the work to receive prices from subcontractors in a timely fashion.
