Position Opening: Intake Coordinator/Utilization Review

Salary Range: $17.78- $28.92 per hour based upon union contract

Position Summary: The Intake Coordinator at HarborCrest Behavioral Health (HCBH) is a pivotal
role within HarborCrest (HCBH). The individual in this position will be responsible for managing all
aspects of the patient intake process from initial contact to coordination of admission schedules. This
includes handling communications, verifying insurance, performing reviews and appeals, and
engaging in referral outreach and development. The Intake Coordinator ensures that all patients
receive timely and accurate support aligning with their Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) needs
and preferences.

Job Requirements: Associates in Business Technology or equivalent experience preferred;
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in admissions or a similar role
required; Strong understanding of insurance verification, concurrent reviews, and appeals processes
required; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required; Ability to manage multiple tasks
and prioritize effectively required; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health
record (EHR) systems required; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to work
collaboratively in a team-oriented environment required; Knowledge of community referral resources
and ability to access them appropriately and therapeutically; Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
