Salary Range: $18.61 - $29.30 per hour per union contract

Position Summary: The Monitor Technician performs job duties under the direct supervision of the
Unit Charge RN or House Supervisor. S/he is responsible for the continuous monitoring of cardiac
monitors/telemetry during day and night shifts S/he notifies the Registered Nurse of dysrhythmias,
assists as needed with reception/secretarial duties and functions as the focal communication source.
Responsible for monitor tracing interpretation for cardiac patients. Able to identify rhythms and
actions to be taken in emergency situations.
Job Requirements: EKG class, basic medical terminology, and basic computer skills required.
