What are the responsibilities and job description for the Juvenile Supervision Officer position at Grayson County Department of Juvenile Services?
Duties:
Works independently and is responsible for daily supervision, guidance, and discipline of juveniles in the pre-adjudication or post-adjudication residential facilities. Duties may include: one-on-one counseling, group work, lead exercise activities, educational and work programs. Candidate must be able to be trained to handle hazardous situations, CPR/First Aid, ethics as well as other state required training. Perform admission and screening duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with delinquent youth helpful; but, not required.
Requirements: Must be 21 years of age. Must pass background check and drug screen. Have a valid Texas or Oklahoma driver's license. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and holidays.
