The Quoting Specialist will play a key role in supporting our sales and engineering teams by preparing accurate and competitive quotes for aerospace and defense (A&D) heat exchangers. This position requires a strong understanding of customer requirements, technical specifications, and pricing strategies to ensure timely and precise responses to inquiries.
Responsibilities
· Analyze customer inquiries, technical drawings, and specifications related to A&D heat exchangers to develop detailed and accurate quotes.
· Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to gather necessary data, including material costs, labor estimates, and production timelines.
· Prepare and present comprehensive quotations, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company pricing policies.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and manufacturing processes specific to heat exchanger products for aerospace and defense applications.
· Respond to customer follow-up questions and revise quotes as needed to secure orders.
· Utilize ERP/CRM systems to track quote status, document customer interactions, and generate reports as required.
· Ensure all quotes meet quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements for the A&D sector.
· Assist in identifying opportunities for cost optimization and value-added solutions during the quoting process.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 2 years of experience in a quoting, sales support, or technical customer service role, preferably in manufacturing or thermal management industries.
· Familiarity with aerospace and defense industry standards and requirements is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with ERP/CRM software (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, or similar).
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
· Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines simultaneously.
· Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of heat exchanger design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
· Experience working with A&D clients or within a regulated industry.
· Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
