Position Value Proposition :
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineering Manager specializing in Modular Data Center Infrastructure Design to join our team. This role will support our sales team by preparing customized solutions to meet our customers' needs, ensuring that technical requirements are addressed efficiently and effectively. The Application Engineering Manager will be responsible for creating bid tabs, technical documentation, and supporting the sales process through technical expertise and solution design for modular data center infrastructure projects.
Core Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and translate these into detailed, cost-effective modular data center infrastructure solutions. Provide technical guidance in selecting appropriate technologies, configurations, and solutions that align with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Develop accurate and comprehensive bid tabs, including equipment specifications, system layouts, and cost estimates. Ensure all bids are competitive and align with customer requirements, while maintaining profitability for the company.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and system descriptions for modular data center solutions. Ensure all documents are clear, concise, and comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Work with the sales team during customer meetings and presentations to answer technical questions and provide expert insight into how modular data center infrastructure can meet their needs. Offer troubleshooting advice, identify potential solutions, and support ongoing customer relationships.
- Assist in the planning and execution phases of projects, providing technical insights and guidance during the implementation process. Ensure all designs and specifications are in alignment with the customer’s needs and expectations.
- Manage and mentor a team of application engineers, providing guidance, training, and support. Foster a collaborative environment to encourage creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure solutions are feasible, manufacturable, and meet the required technical standards. Act as a liaison between the sales team and engineering / operations teams to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the modular data center infrastructure space. Continuously assess and refine the application engineering process to improve accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
