Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineering Manager with deep expertise in separation technology and equipment design, particularly in the removal of liquids and solids from natural gas and liquid streams. This individual will lead the development of our sizing basis considerations, expand our expertise into more applications, and oversee the design and execution of technical solutions in the energy industry. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on technical experience, project management skills, and leadership abilities to the role, driving innovation and quality in product design and customer service.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Consultation & Technical Solutions Development : Collaborate directly with clients to understand their process requirements for natural gas separation, liquid and solid removal, related process equipment and ASME pressure vessels. Provide expert advice on the design and sizing of equipment, including separators, filters, and related systems, ensuring that solutions meet both operational needs and regulatory standards.
Sizing Basis Development : Further develop and refine the sizing basis considerations for natural gas separation and filtration, focusing on more complex systems. Lead the effort to incorporate new data, industry standards, and best practices into the sizing models, ensuring accurate and efficient designs.
Proposal and Project Management : Oversee the creation of detailed proposals, including technical specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines. Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet client specifications, budgets, and schedules.
Team Leadership & Mentoring : Lead, mentor, and manage the applications engineering team, setting clear goals and fostering a collaborative environment. Ensure high performance and professional development through ongoing support, feedback, and training.
ASME Pressure Vessel Design and Compliance : Ensure compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for the design and fabrication of pressure vessels, reviewing calculations, drawings, and documentation to ensure full regulatory compliance.
Continuous Improvement : Lead initiatives to enhance internal processes, product development methodologies, and customer satisfaction. Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to implement innovative solutions and improve overall project execution.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience : A minimum of 10 years of experience in application engineering, with a strong focus on natural gas separation, liquid and solid removal technologies, and filtration systems. Experience with both gas and liquid separation technologies is essential, along with hands-on experience in designing and sizing systems for these applications.

Technical Expertise : Strong knowledge of separation processes, filtration technologies, and design considerations for natural gas and liquid applications. Experience in developing sizing models and system specifications for separators, filters, and other process equipment.

Project Management : Proven ability to manage large, complex projects, including client interaction, technical specifications, and budget management. Ability to execute projects on time and within scope, particularly for systems involving process equipment.

Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, set clear goals, and foster a collaborative team culture. Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Software Proficiency : Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and enterprise resource management tools.

Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of industry standards for natural gas separation, liquid and solid removal, and filtration. Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and other relevant codes and regulations.
