Position Overview
The Director of Human Resources plans and directs human resources programs, policies, and procedures, maintaining compliance with all federal, state, local and regulatory requirements. The Director of HR must be an experienced professional with a strategic mindset, demonstrating leadership and managing programs to ensure that human resource priorities are aligned with GRDA business objectives and values.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Develops strategies and establishes human resources objectives to transform the organization.
- Implements human resources objectives, including, talent acquisition, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, succession planning, employee relations, HR systems and compliance.
- Manages human resources operations through data analysis recruiting, onboarding, training, and coaching team; planning, monitoring, and reviewing outcomes; designing systems; resolving problems; implementing change.
- Lead Process reviews and improvement initiatives to support HR operations and overall employee experience
- Partner with appropriate stakeholders and leaders to support organizational design efforts to optimize workforce planning, structure and efficiency.
- Present HR initiatives and updates to stakeholders, fostering transparency and understanding across the organization.
- Accomplishes projects by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; evaluating milestone accomplishments; driving for results.
- Partner with and serve as a resource to employees, management, and Human Resources team to promote and maintain positive employee relations.
- Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; in alignment with organizational values.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to proactively build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
- Excellent communication (verbal & written); strong ethics and cultural awareness; problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent aptitude for utilizing systems and data to enable and support HR initiatives and outcomes
Education, Training, Experience:
- Advanced experience in consulting and working with senior leaders in the design, development, and execution of human resources strategies and initiatives, including employee relations (10 years)
- Strong business acumen with proven history of managing and directing complex HR operations and providing strong leadership in a team environment. (5 years)
- Experience with Workday (administrator and end user) preferred. · Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.

- Position is located at the GRDA Engineering & Technology Center in Tulsa, OK with the need to travel to other GRDA locations in northeastern Oklahoma
