About the Position
The Great Basin Institute is looking for a skilled Wilderness Cultural Resources Supervisor to join our team. This position will supervise a crew in conducting field surveys, documenting cultural resources, and implementing conservation efforts in the Sequoia National Forest.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of 2-6 people in conducting field surveys and documenting cultural resources
- Develop and implement conservation plans for cultural resources
- Collaborate with agency personnel and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation
- Perform literature reviews and project background research
- Assist with Section 106 and Section 110 reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or related discipline
- 2 years of experience leading crews in the field
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and communicate with stakeholders
- Physical fitness to work outdoors and withstand harsh environmental conditions
