Director of Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) - Healthcare Leadership Role
A leading healthcare organization seeks an experienced Director of Infection Prevention & Control to lead our comprehensive infection prevention program. This executive-level position offers an opportunity to drive clinical excellence and shape organizational safety culture while ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal patient outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program
- Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention strategies and protocols
- Direct surveillance activities and analyze healthcare-associated infection (HAI) data
- Chair the Infection Prevention Committee and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Design and deliver infection prevention education programs for healthcare staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CDC, CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA)
- Establish and maintain policies for infection control and prevention measures
- Lead quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field (Master's degree preferred)
- Current CIC (Certification in Infection Prevention and Control) certification
- Active RN license or equivalent healthcare professional license
- 5 years of hands-on infection prevention experience
- 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting
- 2 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong knowledge of epidemiology and evidence-based infection prevention practices
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
