- Lead and mentor a team of technical and non-technical laboratory professionals
- Oversee daily laboratory operations, quality control, and regulatory compliance
- Manage specimen collection, processing, and referral testing procedures
- Drive operational excellence through performance metrics and quality indicators
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and state regulatory requirements
- Coordinate staffing schedules and approve time sheets
- Manage departmental budget and purchasing activities
- Foster a positive work environment focused on continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
- 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Active Tennessee Medical Laboratory Supervisor General License
- Current national certification (ASCP, AMT, or AAB)
- Proven leadership and staff development experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
