Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian Summer School Teacher to teach our K-7 / 5-12 year old kids during this Summer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment, promoting student engagement, and enhancing educational outcomes. This role requires a commitment to the welfare and development of children, with a focus on implementing effective teaching strategies across various subjects, including physical education, math, reading & writing, science. Further subjects like arts, music, languages may be included according to teacher's skills and preferences.
This being a Summer School, we would like our kids to enjoy learning combined with fun activities. While playing and fun is important, the desired outcome is that all students will be well prepared for their new grades they are entering following the Summer break.
A volunteer staff of the local Church congregation will be assisting throughout the program.
We are a Christian group and expect the teacher to share our Christian values and beliefs.

June 02, 2025 - August 1, 2025; possibly until August 20, 2025

Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with students age and grades
- Teach all subjects as outlined above
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that supports child welfare and promotes positive behavior management.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support the overall development of students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior.
- Supervise students during all school activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience in children education settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- A genuine passion for working with children and contributing positively to their educational journey.
