Overview

Great Day Improvements / Champion Windows - Quality Technician 3rd Shift

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring the daily Manufactured products and will assist in leading a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting finished products and raw materials samples using appropriate devices to ensure conformity. • Performing pre-production and in-production tests of equipment, material, and manufactured products.• Determining the causes of product defects and proposing improvements to the production process.• Reading and interpreting blueprints, standards, procedures, and work instructions to comprehend the quality expectations. • Checking that the production line adheres to standards and procedures.• Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence.• Communicating with Managers/ Production Supervisors and team members.• Providing daily reports to the Quality Manager.• Additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing. • 2 years’ experience in QC is preferred.• Good written and verbal skills.• Proficient in the use of measuring devices, gauging, and working with close tolerances.• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is desired but not mandatory. • Able to work scheduled overtime on a regular basis.• Open to work different shifts when needed and as business dictates.• Able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
