Looking for an exciting Human Resources opportunity with an evolving and growing organization? Great Hearts Texas has a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) position specializing in Employee Relations in the Irving and DFW area that will partner with our campuses, school leaders, faculty, and staff. This role will assist with the smooth and efficient delivery of HR processes and policies. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with school leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure the development and implementation of HR strategies that align with the school's mission and values.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Visits the campuses and conducts HRBP 1:1's with school leadership and staff, acting as a trusted human resources business partner and confidant.
- Manages employee relations issues collaborating with the Human Resources Department and supporting North Texas and San Antonio campus leaders.
- Develops and rolls out Employee Relations training for campus leaders.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and deliver human resource programs including assisting the Benefits Analyst with leave administration, performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
- Provides guidance to supervisors and employees on performance improvement plans and disciplinary matters.
- Supports professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Facilitates and/or delivers HR related and compliance training as needed.
- Develops and updates the Employee Handbook, HR policies and procedures in alignment with school goals.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Understands and has knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, payroll, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintains accurate employee records, including personnel files and benefits.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager, Senior Business Partner and Vice President of Human Resources.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven experience as an HRBP or similar role in an educational setting, preferably in a charter school preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Employee Relations and HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Minimum five years of human resource experience.
- Minimum three to five years Employee Relations experience preferred.
