Position Purpose
To perform the assigned job as indicated by his/her supervisor in accordance to the Safety, QA and USDA rules.
Key Accountabilities
To prepare and operate machines in a safe, efficient, and clean manner.
Function and Responsibilities
These job functions of Aagard operator will be responsible for operating Aagard system. Aagard operator monitoring performance of the operation. This job will be assigned to specific line location of the Aagard machines.
Maintains constant attendance to the Aagard machines and perform operation.
- Maintains constant attendance to the Aagard machines and perform operation.
- Makes minor machine adjustment.
- Informs to the Lead or the maintenance department when major repairs are required.
- Records all down time due to machine malfunctions and reports them to the Lead or Supervisor any time problems occur.
- Clears machine jams.
- Inspect packaging material for Machine Operation.
Other Responsibilities
- Responsible for the production of a quality product that meets all customer and regulatory requirements.
- Effectively communicates as required with supervisor.
- Assures that the necessary tools, settings and supplies are ready prior to production.
- Records and accounts for all materials used on the line for assigned shift.
- Assists supervisor in maintaining the work areas in a clean and safe manner.
- Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.
- Follow all USDA guidelines
- Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance
- Comply with customer requirements when applicable
- Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
- Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety conscious
- Read, write English and know basic math.
- Minimum 6 months of production experience.
- Able to operate mechanical and electrical machines.
- High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.
- Able to make logical decisions.
- Work standing or walking for long periods of time.
Education, Technical Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Proficiency Level
Required
- Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety conscious

- Minimum 6 months of production experience.
- Able to operate mechanical and electrical machines.
Preferred
- High School Diploma/Equivalent preferred.
