The Business Development Account Coordinator’s primary purpose is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our Vision, “To be the members’ trusted financial partner.” The role also requires a strong understanding of the credit union’s products and services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external members, aligning with our Standard of Greatness. Plays a key role in relationships with current and prospective SEG groups and members to support the credit union’s growth and membership goals.
The Business Development Account Coordinator’s key responsibilities include fostering strong relationships, providing outstanding member service, and coordinating efforts across departments to ensure the needs of members and partners are met efficiently and effectively.
As a Business Development Account Coordinator, you will :
- Responsible for ensuring service to all Business Development key contacts that will deliver a high level of member service to internal and external members in alignment with the credit union’s Standards of Greatness :
- Promises to listen, be responsive to members’ needs, simplify their financial life, and make it easy to do business with us.
- Promises to build valued relationships by discovering members’ needs and recommending relevant products and services.
- Promises to be knowledgeable and respectful – one transaction, one interaction, and one member at a time.
- Ensure timely follow -up with members after on-site visits
- Act as the primary liaison for all SEG contacts post onboarding, collaborating across departments to maintain superior service levels for key contacts on major accounts and their individual membership needs.
- Proactively manage member relationships to deepen engagement and promote loyalty and trust.
- Promptly inform leadership of any issues or challenges and work to resolve them in a manner that benefits both members and the credit union.
- Responds to all inquiries, online, phone, or in person in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current Select Employer Groups (SEG’s), business and community partners by attending organizational meetings, nurturing key contacts and promoting credit union products and services.
- Work with GLCU’s financial literacy to coordinate events, including on-site account openings, and collaborate with internal GLCU employees to ensure successful member follow-up through various distribution channels.
- Coordinates and attends partner visits and offers on-site account openings. Works with other internal GLCU employees to achieve success for member follow-up through the various distribution channels.
- Collaborates with departments such as retail, commercial lending, small business lending, mortgage, HUD Certified Counselors, and the contact center to assist members based on their needs.
- Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, as well as GLCU policies, procedures and internal controls.
- All other duties as assigned.
