The Opportunity :
We are currently hiring a certified and experienced Equipment Operator / Foreman to manage material handling and yard organization effectively.
This role is essential for maintaining an efficient, safe, and orderly yard environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with site administrators and the yard manager.
This is a full-time temporary position. At least 50 hours per week, with more overtime if needed. The estimated duration will be 12 to 18 months.

Key Responsibilities :
- Material Handling : Safely unload trucks and transport materials to designated yard areas.
- Documentation : Take photos of packing lists and send them to site administrators for accurate record-keeping and system receiving.
- Labeling & Tagging : Name and color-tag palletized items to ensure easy identification and tracking.
- Staging : Organize and stage materials in designated yard locations for efficient storage and retrieval.
- Inventory Management : Monitor inventory levels, particularly water pallets, and report low stock to site administrators.
- Equipment Maintenance : Perform daily inspections of the forklift to confirm it is in safe operating condition.
- Fueling : Refuel the forklift and on-site light plants as required.
- Yard Upkeep : Maintain a clean, organized yard by picking up debris and ensuring workspace order.
- Waste Management : Notify site administrators when trash dumpsters reach capacity and need to be emptied.
Qualifications :
- Certification : Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- TWIC Card : Must hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- Experience : Prior experience with heavy lift forklift operations in a yard or similar environment is preferred.
- Detail-Oriented : Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Communication : Effective communication skills to collaborate with site administrators and team members.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
