Behavioral Technician -Day Treatment Program (Marquette, MI)
Great Lakes Recovery Centers, Inc., is looking for a Part-Time Behavioral Technician (25-29 hours per week) to work with youth in our new Day Treatment therapeutic classroom being developed alongside with Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency to serve Marquette County School Districts. The behavioral technician serves as part of the treatment team and is responsible for providing direct support to youth in their daily schedule/activities during school and supporting youth treatment goals. Job duties include direct oversight of youth, implementing daily schedule, implementing activities, providing behavioral support throughout the day, assist the educational staff during academic portion of the day, participating in therapy groups, assisting youth with treatment goals, dispensing medications and meal prep.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Preferred Bachelors in the Human Services Field. Experience working with youth who have emotional or behavioral issues is preferred. The right person will be able to build therapeutic relationships with youth through healthy engagement. Training will be provided on expectations. Physical requirement will require training and ability to implementation of physical management techniques. Must possess valid driver’s license and pass background check.
