QUALITY INSPECTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and approving all incoming materials to ensure they meet the drawing or PO requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be capable of performing the job duties of Quality Inspector which include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect and approve incoming materials by verifying equipment is visually and dimensionally inspected, reviewing MTR's, if products do not meet drawing or PO requirements, product will be rejected and quarantined as unacceptable materials
- Inspects in-process production by verifying build sheets, conductiong visual and dimensional inspections and communicating required adjiustments to the production supervisor
- Performs final inspection of finished products by confirming specifications
- Reviews build sheets for accuracy and performs visual and dimensional inspections
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs
- Responsible for keeping measurement equipment in good working condition by following operating instructions, calibration requirements and calling for repairs as needed
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with API standards
- Maintains current job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and keeping up on API-6A changes
Other:
- Complete Documentation as needed
- Maintain professional behavior and appearance while carrying out services and tasks when representing Great Lakes Wellhead, Inc.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Great Lakes Wellhead, Inc.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of basic math skills
- Understanding of basic computer skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Attention to detail
- Analytic skills
- Documentation and Reporting skills
- Good work ethic, self motivated and dependable
- Able to work closely and professionally with others
- Physically able to perform the duties of the job
- Possess a valid drivers license (required)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (required)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Experience with quality control techniques
- Experience with measuring devices such as: Mics, Gauges, Computers, Calipers and other measuring instruments
- Minimum of one year experience in quality inspection work in oil field products (or other similar experience)
