What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at National Tube Supply?
Commercial Fluid Power, a subsidiary of the National Tube Supply Company, specializing in supplying machining services to the fluid power industry is in search of a Quality Inspector reporting to our Dover, OH location. These services include boring, honing, welding and machining.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Inspection of all products, in-process and final result
- Create inspection reports from blue prints
- Document inspections
- Provide formal inspection reports and certificates of compliance as required by customers
- Check, calibrate & certify gauges
- Benchwork as needed (i.e. deburring, buffing, hand tapping, hand honing, assembly)
- Use overhead crane to move parts for inspection
- Use of bore gauges, micrometers, thread gauges, gauge blocks, calipers, profilometers, and dial indicators
- Extended periods of time standing and walking on concrete floors
Successful candidates:
- General knowledge and/or experience with machining or manufacturing
- Experience with precision measurement devices
- Experience with blueprint reading and other technical drawings
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
