Senior Electrical Engineer Job Description
- To learn and work within company policies and procedures for engineering projects.
- Engineer advanced electrical systems within commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.
- Perform engineering calculations including arc flash calculations, service sizing, and lighting footcandle calculations.
- Oversee the assembly of drawing packages such as Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents.
- Meet with the President to review project deliverables, milestones, and design requirements.
- Attend and actively participate in engineering meetings.
Growth Track
- Actively learn medium and high voltage electrical design from experienced engineers.
- Assemble bid packages over time.
- Manage project deliverables and timeline from inception to completion.
- Coach junior engineers and draftsman in design concepts and company standards.
- Build colleague trust and participate in the hiring and expansion of the Engineering Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Consulting Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft products.
- Advanced understanding of electrical building systems, design principles, and electrical one line diagrams.
