Join our team as Assistant Guest Experiences Manager I! This position will be responsible for assisting the Guest Experiences Manager in managing a facility, such as: Children’s Garden, Welcome Booth, Visitor Center, etc. and regional operations as assigned. Administers and executes duties consistent with overall operations of assigned facility.

The successful candidate will perform essential duty listed below:

  • Functionally supervises Guest Experiences personnel in performance of job duties and responsibilities. Assigns tasks, provides direction and ensures quality guest experiences. May be required to work fill-in shifts for absences and provide assistance during peak activity times.
  • Trains and schedules Part Time staff and enforces work rules such as dress and personal hygiene requirements. Refers serious disciplinary issue to the Guest Experiences Manager.
  • Reviews and approves time cards for part time staff.
  • Oversees events and activities at the assigned park and other park locations.
  • Receives and resolves guest concerns and complaints. Analyzes and promptly resolves problems. Implements corrective actions or provides recommendations as necessary.
  • Monitors food and merchandise inventory levels and orders inventory needs. Conducts scheduled inventory counts. Tracks and controls food waste and merchandise returns.
  • Reviews invoices and adheres to purchasing card procedures and submits expenditures for supervisor approval.
  • Prepares and submits reports.
  • Assists in promoting food and merchandise sales through daily public relation contacts with customers and development of sales promotions and special events.
  • Accounts for daily cash transactions. Complies with all cash handling policies and enforces cash control procedures including; POS operation, daily deposits, shift/change tills, required logs and regular cash audits.
  • Acts as manager on duty in absence of facility manager.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks of Hamilton County’s policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information such as personnel files, pay rate information, alarm codes, and safe combinations.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required.
  • Utilizes and promotes environmentally sustainable practices and processes.
  • Represents the agency at offsite events and meetings; professional development or information gathering.
  • Watering, weeding, gardening, planting and harvesting of garden as necessary.
  • Regularly lifts or exerts force on items up to 10 pounds, with occasional weights in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Work in a variety of conditions including regular exposure to noise, heat, cold, rain and other outdoor weather conditions; indoor office setting; regular exposure to typical traffic conditions and hazards.
  • Completes first aid and first report of injury documentation.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:

  • High School Diploma or GED required with at least two (2) years' experience which evidences knowledge of management principles. At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.

LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Food Safety Training and Certification within 1 year of employment.
  • State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets Great Parks of Hamilton County’s current carrier guidelines.
