Great Plains Media Bloomington is seeking a driven and results-oriented Digital & Radio Advertising Account Executive to join our dynamic and fun team. About the Role:
As a Digital & Radio Advertising Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic advertising campaigns for local and regional businesses. You will act as a consultant, understanding your clients' unique needs and crafting customized solutions that leverage the power of radio and digital advertising to achieve their business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and Develop New Business: Identify and qualify potential clients through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation strategies. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct needs assessments with clients to understand their marketing goals, target audience, and budget. Present customized advertising proposals that effectively address their needs.
- Campaign Management: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns, including scheduling, creative development, and performance tracking.
- Digital Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of digital advertising platforms and strategies, including display advertising, social media marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), and website analytics. Be able to articulate the value proposition of digital advertising to clients.
- Radio Advertising Knowledge: Possess a solid understanding of radio advertising principles, including audience demographics, rate structures, and effective messaging.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and provide clients with regular reports and insights. Make recommendations for optimization and improvement.
- Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in digital and radio advertising.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of proven experience in media sales, preferably in radio and/or digital advertising.
- A demonstrable track record of exceeding sales quotas and building strong client relationships.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms and strategies (e.g., Google Ads, social media advertising, programmatic advertising).
- Knowledge of radio advertising principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time managementskills.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A passion for media and a desire to help businesses succeed.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or a related field preferred.
