Job Title: HR Assistant
Job Summary: The HR Assistant provides essential support to the Human Resources department in areas such as recruiting onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations. This position utilizes the company's HRIS system to streamline processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and a seamless employee experience. Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Post job openings on the company's HRIS system and external job boards.
- Review resumes and prequalify candidates based on job requirements.
- Schedule interviews and maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
Onboarding and Orientation:
- Facilitate the onboarding process through the HRIS system, ensuring all required documents are completed online.
- Conduct new hire orientations to introduce company culture, policies, and benefits.
- Monitor the onboarding dashboard to track and ensure timely completion of all new hire tasks.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Enter and validate payroll data in the HRIS system.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and provide guidance using the HRIS portal.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee payroll and benefits.
Employee Relations and Support:
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and processes.
- Collaborate with the Director of People & Development to address employee concerns and promote a positive workplace environment.
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of employee training and professional development initiatives.
HRIS Management and Reporting:
- Ensure employee data in the HRIS system is accurate, complete, and confidential.
- Generate reports and dashboards from the HRIS system to support HR operations and decision-making.
Administrative Duties:
- Organize and schedule HR meetings, events, and training sessions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and internal communications as needed.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role; experience with HRIS systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to tasks.
