Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively supervise staff, manage operations, and ensure the highest standards of service in both fine and casual dining environments. This is a seasonal permanent position. Housing and profit sharing opportunities may be included.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills and improve overall performance.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation in accordance with our brand values.
- Manage inventory and supply chain processes to ensure availability of necessary materials.
- Implement effective marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality management or restaurant management roles.
- Strong knowledge of fine dining and casual dining operations.
- Proficiency in Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead by example.
- Experience in staff training and development within the food industry.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with both staff and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A background as a cook or knowledge of kitchen operations is a plus.
