As the Senior Manager of Advising at Great Waters Financial, you will be a key member of our Operations function, responsible for coaching and developing a team of client-facing financial advisors to drive organic growth through the implementation of KPI’s and best practices. You will be responsible for representing the client experience “Relationship Management” side of our business, aligning the Advising Team's goals with firm-wide goals. Through data and live observation shadowing, you will coach advisors within the team on sales processes, tactics and best practices to achieve client retention and client growth. The Senior Manager of Advising will report directly to the Director of Operations, and will require strong partnership with cross-functional teams across multiple operational areas.

Primary Job Functions :

  • Individual and Team Coaching and Development :

Coach advisors and provide constructive feedback to ensure they achieve their KPI’s and meet quality standards for all interactions.

  • Lead and manage advisors to execute GWF’s service model and best practices.
  • Develop members of the Relationship Management team by providing training, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning. This includes accountability for partnering with Human Resources on recruiting, hiring, orientation, and training.
  • Shadow and provide immediate feedback on live client meetings.
  • Coach advisors on how to generate more and better referrals from existing client base.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of results-oriented, continuous process improvement which includes developing and achieving goals, challenging all processes, procedures and practices, and focusing on solutions.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, test new offerings, and improve the overall client experience.
  • Lead and facilitate weekly meetings to collaborate, identify and solve team issues.
  • Thorough Expertise in Great Waters Financial’s Client Experience :
  • Develop deep knowledge of GWF planning philosophy, services, products and teams.

  • Partner with other leaders to implement new service offerings, ensuring smooth integration into client meeting workflows.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to translate strategy into actionable objectives for performance, growth, and Key Performance Indicators (design and create KPI strategy).

  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in management within the financial services industry
  • 5 years of experience in a client-facing role within the financial services industry
  • Series 65 license required
  • The salary range for this role is $135,000.00 - $170,000.00 annually. In addition, Great Waters offers employees a 401k plan with an employer matching schedule, Medical and Dental insurance, 10 paid company Holidays, an annual wellness stipend, and paid-time off. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus driven by organization and individual performance.

    Our initial compensation target is selected using national compensation survey data. When extending an offer, factors such as tenure and performance are considered in order to align on the most accurate numbers.

    Salary : $135,000 - $170,000
