School Police Officer (SPO) – 12 Months
The GACTC is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Police Officer (SPO) to join our team. The SPO is responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, and security for students, staff, and visitors while maintaining a positive and supportive presence within the school community. This position ensures compliance with school policies, enforces laws, and fosters a safe learning environment. Acting as a liaison between the school and local law enforcement, the officer promotes trust and mutual respect while addressing potential threats, resolving conflicts, and supporting school emergency plans. The ideal candidate will have prior law enforcement experience, have a strong commitment to youth development, and work collaboratively with school administrators and local law enforcement.
The candidate must meet the requirements of a School Police Officer under PA law, must be a certified law enforcement officer in PA (Act 120), and have prior experience in law enforcement. Associate degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
