Responsibilities
- Responsible for teaching Video Production, Filmmaking, and Photography curriculum in grades 9-12
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons on videography and photography techniques, including camera operation, lighting, composition, editing, and storytelling.
- Provide hands-on training with industry-standard equipment and software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom.
- Guide students through practical assignments and projects to build their portfolios.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technological advancements in the industry and incorporate them into the curriculum.
- Assess students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and support their growth as visual storytellers.
- Organize workshops, guest lectures, and field trips to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain a professional and creative learning environment in the classroom and studio settings.
- Assist in curriculum development and improvement based on industry standards and student needs.
- Lead Athletics Video Production
- Maintain regular office hours in order to advise and assist students in a variety of areas including potential careers in their related field of study.
- Assess students and analyze results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school; share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress.
- Manage student behavior to ensure every student is fully engaged.
- Actively participate in professional development activities.
- Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs.
- Support the mission, vision, and core values of Greater Atlanta Christian School.
- High school faculty are also expected to serve as sponsors of student organizations and participate in campus and community events.
- Perform other related work as needed.

Education And Experience
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography, Media Arts, or a related field a master’s degree is preferred
- A current Georgia Renewable Teaching Certificate is required.
- Teaching experience of 3 years.
- Proven experience as a videographer and photographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Prior teaching or training experience in videography and photography is preferred.
- Proficiency in using professional cameras, lighting equipment, drones (preferred), and editing software.
- Strong understanding of video production, photography techniques, and post-production workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and skill levels
- High level of organizational and collaboration skills;
- Skills teaching basic and advanced techniques of camera use, audio, and video editing
- Lead with a heart of Christ and be an example of Christ to our students;
- Drive to improve the minds and lives of students;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members;
