Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a desire to educate and inspire students of all ages. This role involves teaching various dance styles while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in the development of students' skills, confidence, and love for dance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of students at different skill levels.
- Educate students on various dance techniques, styles, and choreography.
- Create a supportive atmosphere that encourages creativity and self-expression among students.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their technique and performance.
- Organize and lead rehearsals for performances or showcases.
- Collaborate with other instructors to create interdisciplinary programs that may include elements of theater.
- Maintain a safe and clean studio environment for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding progress and any concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience and skill in dance instruction;.
- Strong knowledge of various dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, hip-hop) and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to educate students across different age groups, including preschoolers and teens.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.
- A background in theater is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Passion for teaching and nurturing the growth of each student in their dance journey.
- Must be adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic about fostering a love for dance in others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to teach advanced levels of jazz, ballet or other dance styles is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
