Requirements:
- Proficient in speaking and writing English
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass all background checks.
Preferred:
- Two years of experience in a licensed childcare center
- Child Development Associate (CDA) or willing to pursue Early Childhood Education certification/degree
- Bilingual (doesn’t need to be Spanish)
Job Responsibilities:
- Instruct 5-6 years old preschool children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
- Plan individual and group activities for children designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in facility
- Prepare and organize curriculum lesson plans (Frog Street)
- Create a fun and safe learning environment
- Leading the children in active play (indoors and out)
- Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
- Maintain the health and safety of all students
- Help with toilet training and diaper changing
- Support other teachers with meal & snack time, as well as keeping school clean & organized
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
