How You Make An Impact
- Facilitate fun and engaging arts & crafts sessions for campers of all ages, helping them express themselves and explore new creative skills.
- Design unique weekly craft projects that align with Adventure Camp themes and are developmentally appropriate for different age groups.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized Art Barn—ensuring materials are prepped and ready for each day.
- Monitor art supplies, track inventory, and communicate with leadership to order and restock materials as needed.
- Create a welcoming, supportive atmosphere where all campers feel encouraged to try new things and take pride in their creations.
- Collaborate with counselors and camp leadership to support smooth transitions, camper engagement, and special camp events.
- Model the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in every interaction.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of the program.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- 1-2 years of experience working with children in a camp, classroom, or enrichment setting preferred.
- Passion for arts and crafts with the creativity to design engaging and unique projects
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
