Busy, local trade association with more than 3,500 members, The Greater Capital Association of REALTORS (GCAR), in Albany, NY is seeking a full-time in-person Education Manager. The ideal candidate is experienced, professional, and responsible for maintaining the association’s professional development program.
As a key staff member, the Education Manager plans, develops and coordinates membership classes, meetings and speaker events. Must stay abreast of current industry regulations, policies and issues and provide superior customer service to association members.
Responsibilities:
· Develops a comprehensive educational program for association members
· Maintains familiarity with education technologies to ensure members have access to a variety of formats
· Serves as the key point of contact for instructors
· Assists members with questions regarding education requirements; course registration; and other educational topics
· Organizes classroom setup, handout materials, certifications and sponsor coordination
· Submits all documentation and reports as required by applicable regulatory agencies for course approvals and member education certification
· Provides support, direction and coordination for education committee and programs that fall within the parameters of professional development initiatives
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years related experience is preferred
· Experience in a membership organization with education programming a plus
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; membership management software
· Strong organizational and customer service skills
· Capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment
· Capacity to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
· Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time
· Position may require bending, leaning and kneeling
· Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 20 pounds
· Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in business; communications; English or adult education preferred
Position Requirements:
The Education Manager spends time attending meetings, researching and writing reports, scheduling courses and events and preparing members to achieve success in their industry and community.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
