Non-Profit looking for an organized and customer focused Membership and Event Coordinator.
The Membership and Event Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of membership and event coordination, maintaining a high level of member satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, is comfortable handling confidential information, and have a strong understanding of customer service practices.
Ultimately, the Membership and Event Coordinator should maintain a high level of member satisfaction and be able to effectively manage all aspects of our membership and event operations.
Membership and Event Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
- Answering phones
- Provide excellent customer service to members and non-members and address their needs effectively via phone, email or in person.
- Provide essential office duties
- Updating membership records
- Processing membership waivers
- Assisting with member communication activities
- Preparing and mailing membership materials
- Organizing and coordinating member events and activities
- Creating and distributing member communications such as emails about events
- Understanding requirements for each event
- Set up each event in the designated system
- Handle registrations and process payments for events
- Planning event with attention to financial and time constraints
- Book Venues and plan menus
- Ensure all information for the event is brought on the day of
- Conduct final inspections on the day of the event to ensure everything adheres to our standards and what was planned
- Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
- Evaluate event’s success and finalize budget after the event
- Provide statistical analysis reports for events as requested
- Coordinate education courses and materials
Requirements and skills
- High school diploma/GED
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to think creatively
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Multi-tasking skills
- Customer-oriented approach
- Experience as a Membership Coordinator or in event planning a plus
- Able to handle stress and remain calm
- Problem-solving ability

- Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
- Pay Range: Up to $55,000 maximum
