Position Overview

The Intake Coordinator at GHPS plays a critical role in the admissions process, ensuring a seamless transition for clients entering our treatment program. This position is responsible for conducting intake assessments,

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to determine service needs and identify initial treatment goals.
• Collaborating with the treatment team to develop personalized recovery plans
• Coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining detailed reports on admission statistics. The Intake Coordinator also ensures compliance with all applicable regulations while providing compassionate and professional service to clients, families, and referral sources.

Key Responsibilities: Client Intake & Admissions Process:

• Conduct initial screenings and pre-admission assessments to determine client eligibility for treatment.
• Collect and verify demographic information, medical history, and substance use background from clients and/or their foster families.
• Obtain necessary consents, releases, and authorizations required for admission.
• Coordinate with clinical to ensure clients receive prompt evaluations and services upon admission.
• Facilitate communication between clients, families, referral sources, and the treatment team throughout the intake process.
• Accurately enter and maintain client records in GHPS’s EHR system.

Reporting & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all admissions, pending applications, and denials.
• Demonstrating ethical conduct in all clinical and professional activities.
• Adhering to GHPS policies, procedures, and documentation requirements set by accrediting/regulatory bodies and performance contracts.
• Submit weekly reports including:
• Number of admissions
• Referral sources (e.g., hospitals, outpatient programs, courts)
• Pending applications and denials
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and GHPS policies, including HIPAA regulations.
• Work collaboratively with administrative team to improve efficiency in the intake and admissions process.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
