JOB OBJECTIVE
The Director of Membership Sales and Relations is responsible for promoting the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, driving membership growth through investments, and increasing sales revenue. This role focuses on building strong relationships with member investors and prospects while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards. Additionally, the director serves as the staff liaison to the Ambassador Committee and ambassador activities.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Database management and computer skills including Word and
Outlook; strong attention to detail, follow through, organization skills, and communication skills, including writing business correspondence, presentation, and public speaking. Interpersonal skills, including tact and professionalism in dealing with staff, volunteers, and the public are critical. Basic mathematical computation skills to calculate investor packages and membership dues. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and comprehend correspondence, public policy issues, marketing collateral, and other documents. Ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years sales experience, non- profit sales experience recommended. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Job:

- Responsible for securing new Chamber membership revenue, with goals adjusted annually or as needed by the Board of Directors. Oversee renewal Chamber membership revenue efforts, ensuring consistent engagement with existing members.
- Research and cultivate prospects for new and private Economic Development Investor memberships, aiming to secure Community Investor-level or higher investors regularly.
- Attend Chamber and community events to network, build relationships, and generate membership leads.
- Respond to membership inquiries and provide information to prospective members, referring calls as necessary. Follow up on prospective member leads, draft correspondence, send Chamber information in a timely manner, and meet with potential member investors.
- Follow-up on prospective member leads from colleagues and the business community, including draft correspondence, prepare and send out Chamber information, and meet with potential member investors.
- Serve as staff liaison to the Ambassador Committee, including drafting agendas, creating monthly meeting topics, ambassador activities and engagement.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Accounting & Operations to process new and renewed member information.
- Maintain the Chambers CRM system for streamlined data management. Generate invoices and dedicate time to dues collection efforts.
- Provide regular revenue forecasts and updates on renewal activity as well as prospect pipeline.
- Participate in department and staff meetings to report on progress toward goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
