POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist the Facility and Grounds Director in training and supervision of cleaning staff to ensure staff cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal. Will oversee assigned duties, inspect work, investigate complaints regarding maintenance/custodial services and take corrective action. The Manager will provide inventory updates of supplies and equipment, direct/assist new employees, and monitor the safety/cleanliness. Will also complete Maintenance Technician duties including, but not limited to window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, snow removal, groundskeeping, and other related responsibilities, as needed.

Ensures Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment. May perform wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, pool cleaning, painting, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, and general cleaning.

Assists Facility and Grounds Director in recruiting, hiring, training, developing, scheduling and directing personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.

Perform equipment and general maintenance as needed, including, but not limited to, minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

Operates related motorized and non-motorized equipment.

Records and reports all needed repairs; repairs as directed.

Ensures YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to Property Manager.

Replaces soap, paper towels, and other supplies.

May set up furniture for events as needed.

Participates in staff meetings and/or related meetings.

Highly flexible schedule with varying hours including working evenings and weekends.

All other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
