What are the responsibilities and job description for the SY 2025-2026 - Summer- HVAC Adult Education Instructors position at Greater Lawrence Technical School?
Instructor(s) for the up to 250-hour Introduction to HVAC training for unemployed/underemployed adults to prepare them for entry-level positions in the HVAC industry. Position may be shared by 2 teachers. Training will include HVAC theory and hands-on practice with a focus on heat pumps. To be taught in person, with 2 hours of monitored asynchronous online learning per week. Class will include OSHA 10 and EPA 608 certifications.
Salary:
$70/hr. for up to 250 hours of instruction
$50/hr. for prep time. One hour of prep for each full-day class period.
Dates:
Training will start June 26th with anticipated graduation mid-August 2025. Training schedule will be Monday through Thursday 8 am until 4 p.m.
