What are the responsibilities and job description for the VISUAL DESIGN AND PRODUCTION COORDINATOR position at Greater Lawrence Technical School?
Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent, the Visual Design and Production Coordinator's primary role is to assist with maintaining and regularly updating the school's website, promotional information, and social media sites, as well as providing printing / copying services for the needs of various staff members. - Initiate, develop, produce, and edit creative and engaging content such as videos, photos, graphics, and written content for all district communication channels for both day school and adult education programs
- Review the school's website daily and make updates as needed to ensure all content is accurate, timely, and accessible to all stakeholders
- Support GLTS administration and other designated staff by providing training and support in regards to website maintenance
- Work with contracted web host / developer and the District's Information Technology Department regarding technical aspects of the website
- Oversee the school's social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedln, etc.) and monitor traffic patterns of all outlets to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and make suggestions for improvement
- Assist with the coordination and execution of events and special promotions, including community events, celebrations, dedications, banquets, etc.
- Oversee and provide direct support of printing and binding production services for staff
- Maintain archives of media resources (photos, videos, project designs, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and district policy, including media consent preferences of parents / guardians
- Availability is required off hours, when needed, to post to the website, update social media platforms, or send other time-sensitive communications
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Principal
